Rollo needed a simple place to feature his work and sell his DVD. He wanted to keep it as 'binary' as possible.
Mimicking the look of a business card, the goal of the homepage was to simply and effectively give an overview of the site's scope.
It's clear by looking at Rollo's site that he creates videos. His vision was that he wanted an "anti-website" that did away with any bells and whistles that would distract from his work.
Squarespace has integrated functionality with video hosting sites like Vimeo and YouTube. A simple copy and paste of the videos url seamlessly imports the content directly to a player on his website, keeping all the maintenance super easy.
